Classic Americano Cocktail

americanoFor our 4th of July cocktail, I’m going with a classic, the Americano. This cocktail was created in Italy and became known as the Americano because so many American expatriots drank it in Italy during the American Prohibition. My take on this classic doesn’t stray too far from the original. Instead of topping it off with soda water, I use an affordable sparkling wine. This drink is refreshing and delicious and the perfect cocktail to toast America’s birthday!

how good is that
