I give up alcohol each year as a new year’s resolution; this can last for a month and up to five. I typically crave wine or a cocktail in the evenings during the first few weeks. I came up with this drink when I needed something more than tea or water.
The grapefruit juice adds a bite, the cranberry juice adds some sweetness, lime adds the sour and then the sparkling water adds the most important part — the bubbles! Give it a try.
- Lowball/Old Fashioned glass
- Grapefruit juice
- Cranberry juice
- Lime wedge
- Sparkling water
- Fill the glass with ice and then fill half way with the grapefruit juice. Add a splash of cranberry juice (1/2 ounce, or so). Rim the glass with the lime wedge and then squeeze the lime into the glass. Top with the sparkling water and enjoy.
